Or better yet, you'd think that something about that would've been written in those papers Gandalf reads at the beginning of the first movie to learn about Isildur and the one ring. So basically, the reason everyone could forget about Sauron and the one ring was because Talion was keeping Mordor in a perpetual state of civil fʌkery? Yeah, you'd think someone would've noticed something. That created quite a few plotholes: Why wasn't Talion ever mentioned in the movies? Y'know, that guy with the wraith in him and the safe power ring that made Mordor his bɪtʃ? You'd think someone would remember that guy.

Why was the plot forcefully tied to that of the movies? It really seemed like it was doing its own thing, only taking some features from the movies. What a wasted opportunity to have a branching storyline. In fact, the Carnan quests could've been essential for some fourth ending, fifth if you named Bruz the overlord. What happened to Carnan? You'd think she'd help out Talion in return, maybe lead him to a phoenix to heal his fatal wound (hey, if dragons and rings that turn you into a witcher 2.0 exist in Middle-Earth, then so can phoenixes), maybe Carnan could abolish the ring's corruption, and the phoenix could become your new mount or bodyguard. Gollum also mysteriously disappeared, for some reason. There could've also been a miniature redemption arc where Talion becomes just a little less of a dɪk to Ratbag, as in not so eager to hold his blade to Ratbag's throat for no good reason. What, was shattering Bruz's mind too much for them to handle? Also, why not let the player name Bruz the overlord? That should've been an option that determined whether you got some third ending or not. What the fʌk happened to that plot? Why did Talion have to be the one to keep Mordor in a constant state of civil war for decades when Celebrimbor probing Sauron literally and figuratively should've done exactly that? Speaking of Celebrimbor, just what the fʌk happened to him? Apparently he lost the battle with Sauron, but then what was the point? And why wasn't it shown? Where did Ratbag and Ranger go? They just fʌked off after they reunited. At one point, during "act 4" no less, when I reached the overlord of a fortress I was conquering, Talion mentioned something about intending on taking Barad-dur. That just sounds like it foreshadows a final battle between Celebrimbor and Talion at the top of Sauron's tower, when Talion tries to take Barad-dur again with his new powers and undead army. First of all, Shelob said that Talion's battle was against himself and Barad-dur, he needed to hold back the darkness and to save the world of men. It honestly feels like either act 4 had a story, but it was cut out, or that that "true" ending was just added in at the last minute, and the latter definitely sounds most likely. What, were they on a time limit so they had to go fast? And the plot in act 4 is basically nonexistent. The mounted system is awesome, too, for the most part, it's stupid how you have to rely on armour to reduce the time it takes for the "call mount" button to recharge, I found myself getting attached to Talion after act 3, and I was eager to see where the story was going. It's fun and challenging, even though it's dumb how the prestige skills are locked until act 4, and that it's absolutely atrocious and stupid how you have no choice but to play lottery with perfect gems if you wanna change your equipment's secondary perks, glad I bought the game at a huge discount because of that. It's a shame 'cause Shadow of War is a great game. I have to say that it's not a nice tie in to the movies 'cause there are problems with it. Personally, my problem with act 4 is the "plot" and that "true" ending.
